We hope you all had a fantastic festive season – we certainly did!
During the week leading up to Christmas we sold in excess of 200 gallons of Old Cannon Beer in various sized take away containers – so there were a lot of people out there enjoying our beer at home this Christmas.
New Year’s Eve at The Old Cannon saw us celebrate with over 60 people partying until the early hours! The disco and karokee was great fun, and once again Som served up a delicious curry with freshly cooked prawn crackers!
January looks to be a busy month – even though people may be ‘taking it easy’ after the festive excesses. For those of you who are abstaining from having a drink, we have a great range of soft drinks 🙂
Our new menu will be introduced on 8th Jan – lots of lovely dishes await; Steak and Kidney pie, Ham Hock pot roast as well as our traditional favourites of Gunner’s Daughter sausages, Cod and Chips, and seasonal curry. We have Burns Night on Friday 25th Jan where you can enjoy a traditional Burns supper, with a glass of Scotch. Pipe music will be on the play list (not sure for how long thou!). The brewery is as busy as ever with Chris brewing Rusty Gun today.
There is no pub quiz this month as Garry and Hannah are taking a well earned break. Watch this space for details on February’s quiz.
See you all soon with your January voucher offers!
